Featherston’s Booktown has been one of the shining lights in the NZ literary festivals over the last few years – this year, of course Covid had other plans. So some of the events were rescheduled and spread out across the year.
I’m thrilled to be part of the final even for 2020 – Words in November: Sweet Talk.
I’ll be reading poems (from my brand new collection, The Death of Music Journalism) and in discussion with Richard Langston (his recent book Five O’Cock Shadows is a gem) and poet and sculptor Sam Duckor-Jones (writer of the brilliant People From The Pit Stand Up). We’ll be MC’d and chaired by RNZ’s Lynn Freeman.
The event is Saturday, November 21, 7.00-8.00pm at the Featherston Bowling Club, 68 Fox Street, Featherson. And it’s $15. Here is the Facebook event page. Here is the ticketing info.
