The Wellington Film Society’s program continues – last week it was a contemporary story (24 Weeks) and now we travel back in time to look at the future with William Carlos Menzies’ 1936 take on a future dystopian vision, Things To Come.
Based on the H.G. Wells novel of the same name, the black and white film tells a stark, prescient tale – widely regarded as the first great science fiction movie – it’s a treat to be able to see this on a giant screen.
