The Wellington Film Society’s program is continues, last week it was 1960s paranoia with Seconds, this week we’re in Iceland, we’re right up to date (well, 2013) and we’ve got one of the shortest running times of the year (around 70 minutes or so) with Benedikt Erlingsson’s movie, Of Horses And Men.
Part of the program’s focus on the “Wild” this year, Of Horses and Men is set in the wild woods and outdoors of Ireland, and collects a set of fables all with horses front and centre.
Following the screening there’s a drinks-special offer at the downstairs Embassy bar, Black Sparrow. Show your membership for specials on house wine, spirits and tap beer – it’s a great opportunity to chat about the film and get to know other Society members. This Monday, June 18, and as always we’re at the Embassy in Wellington; the best and biggest movie screen in the Southern Hemisphere.
