The Vinyl Countdown # 897

Charlie Parker, Charlie Parker With Strings (1950/1995)
charlier
A compilation album – based on sessions from 1949/1950. It’s perfect. Just perfect. Charlie Parker, produced by Norman Granz, and great players and the songs – standards, or would be, so many great writers involved. I loved this album – in its various versions – from when my mum first played me Charlie Parker. But I only just picked up my own copy of the record recently, a RSD exclusive – the album, with a download code too – just $25. A bargain. A lovely thing to have.

Sample Track: Just Friends
CharlieParkThe Vinyl Countdown is a document of every LP I listen to, brand new discoveries and old-old favourites; extremely pre-loved, previously abandoned or with the shrink-wrap having just been removed it’s all here at The Vinyl Countdown
