Mortiz Von Oswald Trio, Sounding Lines (2015)
One of my favourite records of the year – and really, I’ve said enough about it here, I reckon (don’t need to re-write the review just re-post) – but nice to have the double LP after living with just the Mp3s for the last few months. I dig Moritz Von Oswald, but I’d be lying if I didn’t remind that the real appeal of this album, for me, is in hearing Tony Allen. Always a favourite. Now there’s a drummer you just can’t beat!
