The Vinyl Countdown # 811

Hall & Oates, H2O (1982)
hall-oatesI have Private Eyes and a good Best Of (to cover the earlier years) and it’s time to get out now – after picking this one up – or else I’ll go all completist on Hall & Oates and buying up everything…I wanted this album though because I love DJing Maneater (top tune) and because I remember this (as a cassette tape) from my childhood. My dad had a few Hall & Oates tapes for the car, my aunty had this album too – and she ended up giving it to me with the last of her tapes (I sometimes wish I’d kept more of my tapes – but mostly I don’t). Anyway, I had the record store keep an eye out for this one for me and just the other day the guy goes, “do you want this still?” and holds it up. And I go, “yeah, I reckon I can go for that…”. And I did.

Sample Track: Delayed Reaction
H20
The Vinyl Countdown is a document of every LP I listen to, brand new discoveries and old-old favourites; extremely pre-loved, previously abandoned or with the shrink-wrap having just been removed it’s all here at The Vinyl Countdown
