The Vinyl Countdown # 754

Simon & Garfunkel, Bridge Over Troubled Water (1970)
BridgeA recent junk-store pick-up; a good score for a buck, it’s scratched up a bit but it plays – and I like a bit scuff on these old pre-loved records anyhow. I’ve mentioned, previously, the yarn about seeing Simon & Garfunkel live and what happened when they sang this song and that’s why I bought this single. I wasn’t looking for it, we were killing time in the junk-shop and I was sifting through shitty singles, not many, but none of them interesting, then I found this. As soon as I saw it I thought back to my experience with Simon & Garfunkel and how that is now my memory of this song.

Sample Track 1: (Side A) Bridge Over Troubled Water

Sample Track 2: (Side B) Keep The Customer Satisfied

The Vinyl Countdown is a document of every LP I listen to, brand new discoveries and old-old favourites; extremely pre-loved, previously abandoned or with the shrink-wrap having just been removed it’s all here at The Vinyl Countdown
