Split Enz, Dizrythmia (1977)
This has long been one of my favourite Split Enz albums – to begin with it was simply by virtue of the fact that it contains Bold as Brass and My Mistake – a wonderful opening salvo; they’re two of my favourite Enz songs dating right back to when I was three or four years old, they’ve been with me my whole life. The spirit of Phil Judd hangs on this album – he wrote some of the material but was gone by the time this album was a thing, a young Neil Finn was in…It’s always one of my favourite Enz albums to play through, though for the most part that’s been on CD only. Now it changes.
