Aerosmith, Love In An Elevator [Single] (1989)
As more time passes the more the band Aerosmith seems truly fucking awful. Just atrocious. Dreadful-as. With one or two moments. But barely a decent single-disc greatest hits can be compiled. My introduction to the band was a ten-track collection of the group’s 70s triumphs, not bad, but in places a little grating. Then the album Pump really took my fancy. A few other things too – the Dude Looks Like A Lady single, etc. But really – they’re a band I never want to hear and never plan to listen to. And yet, buoyed by the nostalgia for Pump I find myself buying this single – from the Pump years. Why did I need this? I didn’t. There are many songs far worse than this of course. Maybe I’ll buy three more singles and assemble the ultimate Aerosmith Greatest Hits EP eh?
