The Association, Insight Out (1967)
Recently/ish I found this old compilation of 60s music which I loved when I was a kid; was a gateway of sorts. And now I get to love it all over again. One of the revelations was hearing Never My Love which was one of those songs I’d forgotten all about – right up until hearing it again. You know? You hear the song and within the opening notes you’re suddenly transported: Ah, this song! I love this song! But prior to that chance (re) encounter you were never likely to think about it ever. Well I can’t stop thinking about Never My Love now. It’s a firm favourite. So I wanted to hear some more things by The Association. And I did. Checked out the albums and a compilation too – then found this record just recently. A very good score. A bargain bin find. One of the best. Very happy to add this to the collection. In good/ish condition too. Good enough…
Sample Track: On A Quiet Night
