Barney Kessel/Stephane Grappelli, Limehouse Blues (1976)
Only recently I recalled the time I got to see Stephane Grappelli perform – and it was surely one of his last performances (see here). My mum got me into Stephane Grappelli’s music – and for that I’m truly thankful. This album is good – I hadn’t played it in a long, long time, but after writing that memory of the gig I dug around for all I could find. I’ve no idea when I bought this record but I don’t reckon I’ve had it all that long, last five or six years, max. So I’m right back into it. Barney Kessel’s not bad too.
