Taco, After Eight (1982)
That naff, kitsch, silly, twisted, creepy, awful – but brilliant! – reimagining of Puttin’ On The Ritz – it kinda spooked me when I was a kid, but it was kinda cool. And was Taco also Falco? And was it in any way connected with The Rocky Horror Picture Show? Turns out no and no – but hey, when you’re a little kid and trying to keep up with it all some things blur and turn and twist and merge. When you’re older and no longer bothering to try everything blurs and turns and twists and merge – which is probably why I find myself now with this LP.
Sample Track: Singin’ In The Rain
