The Vinyl Countdown # 1190

Outkast, Stankonia (2000)
stankoniaToday’s a bloody good day. If for no other reason than a knock at the door and a parcel containing four Outkast LPs; I ordered them less than a week ago! Such joy. I love Outkast. So where do I start? Well, I start with this one because it’s not my favourite album by the band but it is my starting point, the first full album by the band I heard. I still love Ms. Jackson, such a great song. I still love a lot of this album. But they were better before it. And after it. So many great tracks to explore now – it’s been a while since I’ve listened to anything by Outkast. I guess the talk of new material, or at least new shows from the duo, has me enthused once again. But there’s always been certain songs that have stayed with me – and, on some level, all of the albums. Now I have a few to work through again. To rediscover. To experience on vinyl for the first time. Good times indeed!

Sample Track: B.O.B.

The Vinyl Countdown is a document of every LP I listen to, brand new discoveries and old-old favourites; extremely pre-loved, previously abandoned or with the shrink-wrap having just been removed it’s all here at The Vinyl Countdown
