The crew from Phantom Billstickers have sent issue number two of the Café Reader out to the streets. You’ll find it in music stores, cafés, bars and restaurants around your town. If you can’t find it let them know I reckon they’ll find a way to get a copy to you. It’s a FREE magazine and as with issue # 1 it’s chock full of great writing.
But what a line-up of writers and contributors, I feel very privileged to be amongst this crowd.
Issue # 2 features the work of Tusiata Avia, David Eggleton, Graham Brazier, Anton Jenner, Gerald Stern, Hinemoana Baker, Jim Wilson, John Dix, Janet Frame, Chris Mooar, Frankie McMillan and Jay Clarkson.
You’ll find glimpses of memoir, essays, poems and stories and this issue – the Summer Edition – features a cover image by Phil Judd.
Thanks Phantom for doing the good thing – giving words to people, giving people a way to share words.
Get there and find a copy and enjoy it – then pass it on, send it offshore, leave it on a bus or on your seat when you leave the theatre, spread the word/s.
