The Great Kiwi BBQ: DJ Set

imagesI love this time of year – and I particularly love this time of year in Wellington. It’s quiet. And you can get a park anywhere, and no one is in a rush. In fact it’s almost a ghost-town, in the best possible way…

Most years around this time I put on a Great Kiwi BBQ night – and this year I’ll be doing it again, up at the San Fran as usual, Thursday, December 29. It’s around the time of the week and year that people are starting to sniff out a place to go for a drink or two, to hear some tunes, to break the lock-down of public holidays and to get away from the forced family get-togethers.dub1

So it’s nice and casual. The bar is open from 4pm – hopefully there’ll be balcony sun (and not a lot of wind). And we’ll have a BBQ out on the deck there, and I’ll be playing only New Zealand music on the decks – Kitsch and Classics. All Kiwi. All Vinyl. All Night.

Music from 6pm, drinks specials going all night. A nice way to get out and about after Christmas but with a night to spare up your sleeve before the big New Year’s Eve parties.

So come on down and hear all your old favourites and some brand new tunes too…
