I’m always on the lookout for good reggae. Because I think there’s a perception that I don’t like reggae (not true). But more than that I’m on the lookout for good reggae because I love good reggae. But I’m not very knowledgeable there, it’s something I’m just chipping away at. I have my favourites. And I add to that list where I can.
I’ll be adding this one now – it’s got what I’m often looking for in (good) reggae: the politics, anger and fury but also those sunshine-sounds of feel-good riddims.
Yeah, this is good.
I’m going through the book, 1000 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die, and playing all of the albums I haven’t (previously) heard. It’s a pointless goal, but it’s my goal…
