Happy Birthday To Us! A wee bonus episode here with some shout-outs of thanks – to all the guests so far, to the incomparable LoFi Sheriff on the editing/production duties, to Riki Gooch for giving us the intro/theme music, to anyone and everyone for listening and of course to the sponsors L’affare and Yeastie Boys – for giving me the coffee and beer to pass on to guests of the podcast.
I’ve included the first (aborted) attempt at a podcast. It was a year ago, pretty much to the day, that the podcast officially launched. A couple of weeks prior I had a go at recording my friend Sam. We were going to talk about how we got to know one another, how long we’d known one another and all of the shared pop-cultural interests we had. As you’ll hear, we didn’t get far. Can’t even blame the sponsor’s product at the early stage either!
And because no one ever asked and no one ever would – there’s a track from The Winter’s most recent album, Exit Points.
I hope you enjoy/endure this bonus episode of Sweetman podcast.
And, jokes aside, thanks for stopping by as and when you have. Thanks for any feedback, likes, shares, downloads, comments, listens. It’s been a blast so far. And I’m looking forward to many more. I can only hope that some of you out there in internet land are hoping for more too…
You’ve found this podcast via the link on Facebook or Twitter and/or from the Off The Tracks website – it’s hosted at Soundcloud and to receive the episodes before you even get to these show notes you can subscribe on iTunes. Day-time visitors to the den get to have coffee thanks to L’affare or, later in the day, they can have a beer from the wonderful Yeastie Boys. My thanks as always to these great sponsors.
I hope you like episode 24 of Sweetman Podcast, my conversation with Sam, a song by The Winter and some birthday shoutouts.
