Sweetman Podcast: Episode 129 – Suzanne Vega

Welcome to episode 129 of Sweetman Podcast with support from our sponsors – T Leaf T, Yeastie Boys and La Petite Chocolat.

Here I talk with one of my all-time musical heroes, Suzanne Vega.

We are in a hotel restaurant and there is some background noise. Just a warning. What a thrill to meet her and speak with her. I flew to Sydney recently to see the band show and then saw her again in Wellington.

The day after the Wellington show she agreed to meet with me for a chat for the podcast.

Her songs have been with me most of my life and so it was simply a great thrill to speak with her, to have the chance to talk – an interview, but also just a conversation.

We start with her telling me she liked my review, and me gushing and explaining that I’ve been listening to her since I was 10 years old.

From there we go through her career.

I hope you enjoy this conversation. It was certainly a great thrill and my absolute pleasure to meet Suzanne Vega and have this chat.

Please enjoy episode 129 of Sweetman Podcast, my chat with Suzanne Vega
