I caught up with Sarah Bradley. We worked together on the Good Morning TV Show. I was one of the regular music reviewers there for about seven or eight years. Sarah (along with co-host Brendon Pongia) came on board to steer the ship for a half-dozen years or so. Ahead of that Sarah had an extensive background as a roving reporter and newsreader across TV and radio – in New Zealand and in New York.
She grew up obsessed with musicals and performing – and went from there. Went, as in travelled to America…
I’m still in touch with Sarah, regularly on Facebook, and we worked together after Good Morning, she was the editor of a magazine called NZToday for a time; she recommended me in the role of book reviewer.
So, here, we sat down for an hour or so recently, Sarah was in town for a night and before she was out that evening I popped down to the hotel room for a quick chat. It was great to reconnect – and she has some great stories, mostly around a lot of hard work and tenacity. We also had a hearty reminiscing-session around our time on the Good Morning show.
I really enjoyed this conversation and I hope you do too.
