Now – as you probably know, as well as the usual platforms (this site, soundcloud, iTunes/Apple) you can get to Sweetman Podcast on Spotify – follow it there and have it saved in your Spotify library. It’s on most of the podcast platforms besides the ones mentioned here.
On a recent visit to Hawke’s Bay I sat down for a chat with Andrew Gladstone – drummer for Garageland.
We had talked about having a chat for the podcast a while ago and it never quite panned out. So now we managed to do it with the added bonus of Garageland reforming to play some anniversary shows.
Outside of that we talked about the old days in the band, the highs and lows – and from there Andrew’s career in and out of music, moving from Auckland to Hawke’s Bay, allegedly to get away from music and ironically ending up doing a whole lot more playing.
In recent years Andrew was a drummer for some of Fane Flaws’ project (R.I.P.) And so with Fane’s very recent passing we started our conversation there.
We also talked about Andrew’s drum collection – his passion for cars and a few other things, but the main focus was the career timeline of the band Garageland. And the upcoming reunion.
Come back. All is forgiven…
I loved finally getting this chat down on tape. And I hope you enjoy listening to it.
This is episode 269 of Sweetman Podcast. My conversation with Andrew Gladstone.
