Sweetman Podcast # 246: Jeremiah Ross (Module)

This is episode 246 of Sweetman Podcast with support from our sponsors – T Leaf T and Yeastie Boys

Now – as you probably know, as well as the usual platforms (this site, soundcloud, iTunes/Apple) you can now get to Sweetman Podcast on Spotify – follow it there and have it saved in your Spotify library.

This is a conversation I recorded late last year with Jeremiah Ross aka Module. As Module, Jeremiah made music for LOOP Recordings in the early/mid-00s and went on to create video game soundtracks. I knew Jeremiah well enough to chat to around this time – we didn’t spend a whole lot of time together but we enjoyed a few conversations about music and I was a huge fan of his music.

Then he disappeared from the world – fell off the radar. That’s how I understood it. I missed hearing his music.

And then I heard some of his story. A tough time with his mental health, a psychotic episode…

Late last year – as Module – Jeremiah returned to the stage as part of Fly My Pretties. He and I also reconnected via social media and he was keen to tell his story. I visited him at his flat – left the recording unedited – and captured this conversation. Jeremiah told me after he was in a great mood that day and the conversation was flowing. He takes things day by day. He is rebuilding, reconnecting and re-establishing himself as a musician.

I loved this conversation and I feel privileged to be the one trusted with facilitating Jeremiah’s story. Of course it’s really all him – he is the one telling it. But I hope you enjoy this. Perhaps a tough conversation, at times, ultimately I hope it fills you with hope and heart and reminds you of the power of music. I was certainly reminded of all the wonderful music he has put into the world already. May there be a whole lot more to follow.

Here now is episode 246 of Sweetman Podcast – my conversation with Module (Jeremiah Ross).
