Well, after a lengthy summer break the podcast is back and it’s the first one for 2021. This conversation was recorded late last year and then I decided to have a wee break over Christmas/New Year. So you’re now going to hear episode 244 of Sweetman Podcast with support from our sponsors – T Leaf T and Yeastie Boys
Now – as you probably know, as well as the usual platforms (this site, soundcloud, iTunes/Apple) you can now get to Sweetman Podcast on Spotify – follow it there and have it saved in your Spotify library.
This is a conversation with Maggie Tweedie. She is the breakfast host at Radio Active in Wellington. She’s also a freelance writer contributing to Volume/LitCrawl and North & South among other places. I first met Maggie in October of last year when she interviewed me on her show for the launch of my book. We had a great chat and she messaged after to say she’d love to catch up sometime and talk interviewing. I replied suggesting we do exactly that as a podcast.
So this conversation is just our second time talking and getting to know each other. We are both from Hawke’s Bay originally and passions including music, radio, books and writing drive us.
I loved this conversation – Maggie is a total class act, a skilled broadcaster and writer and the work she’s doing and the way she’s doing it is inspiring. She’s going to be one of the future greats in New Zealand radio.
Maggie mentions the Joan As Police Woman show – so I’ll include a link here to my podcast-chat with Joan Wasser. She also mentions working on a story at the time of this conversation with my publishers at Cuba Press. You can read that finished piece in the January edition of North & South.
I’m pleased to be back podcasting in a new year. And this is episode 244 – my conversation with Maggie Tweedie.
