Welcome to episode 229 of Sweetman Podcast with support from our sponsors – T Leaf T and Yeastie Boys
Now – as you probably know, as well as the usual platforms (this site, soundcloud, iTunes/Apple) you can now get to Sweetman Podcast on Spotify – follow it there and have it saved in your Spotify library.
A slightly different thing this week. Rachel Doré had interviewed me for MPR (Manawatu Peoples Radio) for the upcoming Manawatu Writers Festival and with her blessing and the station’s permission I’m re-sharing it. The interview was to promote my appearance at the festival which takes place this weekend (Sept 11-13).
My session is on Sunday morning at the Feilding Public Library from 10.45am-12.30pm, where I’ll be talking about blogging. I’ll be sharing my story around creating daily content, first for a big giant news organisation and then more recently for myself as a sole trader. How do you build a blogging routine? That’s the aim of the session.
And this interview was a fun chance to gasbag about my music writing and blogging – and a few wee poetry plugs get thrown in.
Not going to lie, I’m a total motormouth in this interview and this is utterly shameless self-promotion. But hey, free content. By all means dock my wages or hit the skip button and come back next week. Or both.
At any rate, I enjoyed this chat and wanted to share it to promote this weekend’s festival session.
I’ll be back as the interviewer next week. And I’ll have a real interviewee. But until then, this is episode 229 of Sweetman Podcast – where Rachel Doré of MPR chats to me about blogging.
