Now – as you probably know, as well as the usual platforms (this site, soundcloud, iTunes/Apple) you can now get to Sweetman Podcast on Spotify – follow it there and have it saved in your Spotify library.
Now, I had never met Eamonn, but I loved the book and I was aware of his work over the years, a comedian, a writer, a passionate music fan – and sometime musician, also an enthusiastic organiser of shows, even a music journalist or blogger at times. So it felt like a good time to meet and have a conversation.
I’m sure glad we did. As well as discussing his book we talked about his Christchurch upbringing, including the earthquakes. From there it was to Wellington and writing – to VUW, and then VUP, via stints on the stage doing comedy. Through this is a conversation about depression and anxiety also.
It was a big chat, perhaps particularly for two people just meeting for the first time. This is episode 226 of Sweetman Podcast – my conversation with Eamonn Marra.
