Now – as you probably know, as well as the usual platforms (this site, soundcloud, iTunes/Apple) you can now get to Sweetman Podcast on Spotify – follow it there and have it saved in your Spotify library.
George D. Henderson – singer/songwriter – is best known for his catalogue of songs at the helm of The Puddle. There are other bands and projects too. There’s his work, also, as an academic research – you can read some of his ideas and articles at The Spinoff. He’s also posted a few guest blogs on my site – most recently a wonderful piece about the lost world of female composers.
I was supposed to talk with George for this podcast about two and a half years ago – but at the last minute he had travel plans or I was arriving too late, I forget quite how it played out…but it’s a common story with organising guests for the podcast. You try. And sometimes it doesn’t work out. And then a few years later…
So I was thrilled to finally nab this conversation with George. We had only met, briefly, one other time. But we’ve corresponded plenty and I’m a huge fan of his work. It was worth the wait too as we had a candid conversation that included discussion of his past drug use, arrests and various shenanigans – on the road to recovery, redemption and further rock’n’roll.
I hope you enjoy hearing this. This is me and George Henderson in conversation from January of this year.
Here now is episode 211 of Sweetman Podcast – my conversation with George Henderson.
