Now – as you probably know, as well as the usual platforms (this site, soundcloud, iTunes/Apple) you can now get to Sweetman Podcast on Spotify – follow it there and have it saved in your Spotify library.
Here I welcome the return of Marnie Karmelita to the podcast. She is the Creative Director of Tawhiri – and here we preview and discuss the 2020 NZ Festival including a detailed look through the program. I met Marnie earlier this year and we talked about the Jazz Festival, that conversation also included Marnie’s story and background (so click here to listen to that if you’d like to know more about Marnie and missed it at the time).
Marnie discusses the decision behind involving guest curators this year and the process behind that. We both pick some highlights and make plenty of recommendations, discussing the events throughout the three week festival, including a revamped Writers and Readers program.
I always like having a chat with Marnie and I think this might be a helpful guide for Festival fans looking for some background before they make some ticket-buying selections.
Here now is episode 197 of Sweetman Podcast – my chat with Marnie Karmelita where we preview the 2020 NZ Festival.
