The play Lungs was terrific – click there to read my review.
Perfect small theatre, in the Circa Studio, a two-hander, unnamed couple, “She” and “He” I believe the notes said, or “Him” and “Her” or some such.
I was there on opening night. I don’t often go to opening night. I find the rattling of the jewellery a bit of a distraction, the clinking of wine glasses, etc…
But this time I was there. And it was moving. A play to think about for days after. Weeks. Months.
I chatted with the play’s director, Dean Hewison and also with one of the stars, Aidee Walker. In both cases I wanted to talk to these people (Dean I already knew, Aidee only from her work on the screen) and both had heaps to say about other pursuits. But for both of these podcast episodes we talked at length about Lungs. Talked until we were blue in the face…
Stubs is an occasional feature here at Off The Tracks – looking back through the ticket-stub box and remembering how the show went down.
