Real Groovy Records: In-store DJ Set (Saturday, November 19)

real-groovy-asThis Saturday morning I’m playing some records in-store at Real Groovy in Auckland. I’ll be on the decks from 11am-1pm playing some funk and soul and jazz and blues and whatever else blows up the island with me in the plane (and/or anything I find on the shelves of Auckland record stores).

I’ll be my first time playing in the new Real Groovy store, but not my first visit. A great shop – I managed to have a wee dig before the Prince gig earlier this year and found a few gems.

I’m in Auckland for the weekend to catch up with some friends primarily but aiming to record a podcast or two and I’ll also be playing a set at The Golden Dawn on Friday night (8-11pm) – so it’s likely I’ll be playing all the flipsides the following morning. We’ll see. I’m really looking forward to it – I played once in the old store and it was a nice vibe.

If you’re around come on down and say hi. Come for a browse.
