Sad news for fans of live music, The Eagles will be playing a show in Auckland, New Zealand, March 15, 2015.
Frontier Touring has, at least, given fair warning, but this does seem to suggest the death of live music. It is the Eagles’ first tour of New Zealand in twenty years but to reflect the two decades since their last visit the band has fired its best guitarist and become richer.
There is also, as always, the threat of solo material from Glenn-with-two-Ns Frey and Don-with-no-friends Henley, padding out a 30 minute hits set to the requisite six and a half hours. Wine will be sold by the thimble for around $37 a shot.
