We are worried about billionaires
and the anti-vaxxers and the pandemic they
are currently anti getting vaxxed from.
We are worried about tax-dodging
companies and white-collar crime
and gentrification’s winning streak.
We are worried about climate change
but never enough. We are worried about
the climate-change deniers.
We are worried they might be a bigger
problem. (They’re not. But, also, they are).
And we are worried either way.
We are worried about the economy, the
rock-star economy, the gig economy,
the endless rehearsals, hoping for payday.
We are worried about this and that
and what have you, but what have you
worried about lately? I mean really.
We are worried about recycling and
who wore it out best when they used
and re-used and then cat-walked it to the bin.
But really what we need to be worried about
is Several Twitter Users. Several Twitter Users
make so many headlines. Several Twitter Users
will always have the answer; Several Twitter
Users will work in shifts to get that itch, to
scratch its back until it’s back scratching theirs.
Several Twitter Users can all be wrong. But
they’ll never admit it, they’ll never admit it,
they’ll never need to because that’s not the point.
Their point is to needle at every angle that never
needed unpicking. To peel away what was already
not sticking and send messages of hope and support
for the job well done – they removed something
that was already flimsy and falling. But it was
Several Twitter Users that finally came calling.
Several Twitter Users will carve out thousands of
tunnels and live uncomfortably in a dark stank of
ether – forever and forever. Where you could say
you hope they’re happy, but that’s never been
the point. Happiness is in hiding and isn’t planning
on returning. Thanks to Several Twitter Users.
