Promising the Greatest Zeppelin Show in the World, Lead Zeppelin will tour New Zealand this August performing Led Zeppelin’s 1973 concert, The Song Remains The Same. But it goes deeper than that – the tribute group, pitching themselves as an Experience Band will use the exact same equipment that Zeppelin used.
Lead guitarist Ben Fulton (owner and designer of Red Witch Analog Pedals) explains that this is the only way to get the correct sound, “all the right amplifiers, echo units, guitars, effects – the right ingredients to create the magic”.
Where other tribute bands are all about the dress-up and silly wigs, Lead Zeppelin is concerned with getting the music right.
Along with Ben Fulton (AHORIBUZZ/Jan Hellriegel) on guitar, Lead Zeppelin features Jamie Agnew (Lightning Rod) as lead vocalist, Matt Payne (AKANAME, The Red Eyes) will play the bass/Mellotron/Fender Rhodes parts and Tom Pierard (Strike, KORA) will be hitting the skins.
