Fresh Quotidian at Book Haven: Poets Read From Their Work (Dec 15, 2019)

Next Sunday, December 15, 2pm at Book Haven in Newtown, Wellington five poets (representing The Cuba Press and Mākaro Press) will read from their work.

I’m looking forward to it…And for more than one reason…

It should be a fun, diverse set of performances.

The poets reading are:

• Nicola Easthope
• Mary McCallum
• Michael Fitzsimons
• Mary Macpherson
• Simon Sweetman

Yep, that’s me at the end there, on the list. (Yay!). Michael Fitzsimons has very recently published an excellent book. Mary Macpherson’s “Social Media” is new, Mary McCallum’s debut book of poetry was released last year and Nicola Easthope is a published poet also.

No book from me. but many of my poems are here at Off The Tracks (click that link to go to the poems directly)

I’m honoured to be on the list.

There’s a Facebook event page here that you can follow.

Our host for the day is Book Haven’s breadmaker in chief Don Hollander.

There will be freshly baked bread and the poets with books will have their work there for sale.

Refreshments for the body and mind…
