Well, I didn’t get to a lot of albums in March. Just as things were getting going we suffered a break-in at home, the place burgled – while we were sleeping. We’re all okay, but we lost wallets and handbags, phones and iPods and computers. So most of my digital music collection (nothing backed-up from this year) walked out the door.
That means that most of the albums I was working on to review – a few listens in, or just getting to, or planning to give a whirl – are gone for now.
And while we wait for insurance and new devices and computers I’m not really getting onto much in the way of new music. I reviewed a couple of older albums – and I have some new CDs that have arrived. So I’ll push on this month and next. But March, for the obvious reason above, was a lean month review-wise here at Off The Tracks.
Still, you can click on this link to be taken to the best reviews I wrote for the month of March. By best I mean not just positive but the rave reviews, the albums I reckon are worth hearing; worth having.
You’ll find reissues, compilations, EPs and live albums – as well as full-length studio releases. Most of the material here was released in 2014/15 but in some cases it was released in 2013 and only made it to me this year – or I only (finally) got to it this year.
