Digests: The Best of 2014’s Album Reviews – August

aug 14Another 50 great albums – really, really good albums – reviewed in August. Doing my best to power through this stuff – so much stuff, and a lot of really good material. Duds too. They get reviewed of course, but the point of these digests is to highlight – and place altogether in one space – the really good stuff, the things I liked, for those that didn’t keep up with every single review (and how could you/why would you, right?) A big range of music here too – I thought.

Click on this link to be taken to a summary of all the best reviews I wrote for the month of August, 2014. By best I mean not just positive but the rave reviews, the albums I reckon are worth hearing; worth having.

You’ll find reissues, compilations, EPs and live albums – as well as full-length studio releases. Most of the material here was released in 2014 but in some cases it was released in 2013 and only made it to me this year – or I only (finally) got to it this year.

My Best Albums: August 2014.
