Jerron “Blind Boy” Paxton will make his New Zealand debut in March. Playing four shows (Auckland’s Tuning Fork, Thursday, March 10, The Naval Point Club in Lyttelton, Friday, March 11, Wellington’s Bodega on Saturday, March 12 and Black Barn in Havelock North, Sunday March 13) he’s well worth checking out.
Playing harmonica, piano, ukulele, banjo, fiddle and guitar, Blind Boy is steeped in the country and folk blues of the 1920s and 30s – all before he has reached his 30s. He started losing his eyesight as a teenager, by 16 he was virtually blind.
Here is playing the fiddle and check out a bit more of his playing here.
