Blackmore’s Night: Here We Come A-Caroling (ep)

Blackmore’s Night

Here We Come A-Caroling (ep)

EARMUSIC

Well, tis the season eh – and nothing, believe me, nothing says Christmas Music quite like a brand new EP of grotesquely earnest carols done in a renaissance fair style by the former lead guitarist of Deep Purple and his cosplay wife.

Where once Ritchie Blackmore spat potency from his guitar now it’s limp-dick folk. And these carols – only four of them, only 10 minutes, it’s like they decided on the theme and the cash-in and then, er, couldn’t really keep it up – are 2020’s Christmas Music nadir.

This is Coronavirus in CD form.

The good news is the antidote is available. It comes in the form of the live version of Mistreated from the California Jam

Merry Christmas Ritchie and Candice. You are a basement sex-ring away from this all one day almost making sense.
