Just recently I was asked to put together a couple of hours of music for a corporate event; the brief: background. That dreaded word – I’m sure the artists of the world love knowing their music was “just right – in the background!” People make music to be heard. Right?
Oh well, background has its place – and I love making music for ‘in the background’. I’m one of those people that notices music everywhere, whenever it’s on and always when it’s not on, either not happening at all or just not right for right then.
So with that in mind I tried to make a jazz/funk/soul/instrumental hip-hop mix that could be a good party-starter, low-key enough to never intrude but with a few finger-snapping moments, or nod-along highlights. And I’m pretty pleased with this one – so I’m sharing it out here – under the banner of Nice-and-Easy because those were the two things I was looking for really. Music that’s both nice. And easy. And then going together to make nice-and-easy.
Check it out.
